Realtor Sara Burack From Netflix's 'Million Dollar Beach House' Dies at 40

Sara Burack, a prominent real estate agent who gained fame on Netflix's Million Dollar Beach House, died Thursday. Burack succumbed to injuries after being struck in a hit-and-run on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays, New York. She was 40.

Authorities say Burack was found unconscious near Villa Paul Restaurant around 2:45 a.m. on June 19. She was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital by the Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance but died later that day from her injuries, according to News 12 Connecticut.

Police believe Burack was the victim of a hit-and-run and have not yet identified the driver or vehicle involved. Southampton Town Police have asked for the public's help in locating any leads.

Burack had become a well-known face in the Hamptons real estate scene, having worked for Nest Seekers International and split her time between New York City and the East End. Her appearance in Million Dollar Beach House, the 2020 Netflix series that showcased the cutthroat world of luxury property sales in the Hamptons, introduced her to a global audience.

Before her real estate success, Burack spent years working in her family's construction supply business, later managing rental properties during Hamptons summers. 

In a 2020 interview with Hamptons.com, she said that experience inspired her transition into high-end real estate.

"I have been spending half the year in the Hamptons for the past 11 years," she said. "It was only natural to turn my love for real estate into a blossoming career."

Burack was a Southampton resident at the time of her death. She was widely respected by colleagues and admired by clients for her work ethic, market knowledge, and passion for design.

As of now, investigators have released no details about the vehicle or the suspect. The case remains under active investigation, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Southampton Town Police Department.

Burack's sudden death has shaken the tight-knit Hamptons community, where friends and clients remember her as both a savvy businesswoman and a kind, vibrant personality who made her mark in a competitive world.
