Mugshot Released After Fitness Influencer 'Liver King' Arrested for Joe Rogan Threats

Fitness influencer Brian Johnson, also known as Liver King, was arrested Tuesday evening for allegedly making a terroristic threat, and now his mugshot has been released. The 47-year-old's arrest came after he posted a series of videos challenging podcaster Joe Rogan to a fight.

"You’re going to need something to fight for, because I have my family to fight for and that I’ll die for. And you’re a black belt, [but] you’ve you’ve never come across something like this. [I’m] willing to die, hoping that you’ll choke me out," said Johnson while addressing Rogan in one video.

"Shame on you, I’m going to make you pay … I’m going to fight, and I’m not going to stop," he continues.

In another video, Johnson gestures to a box with the Joe Rogan Experience logo printed on it, and asks for it to be delivered to "mothership," or Rogan's comedy club in Austin.

Johnson faces a class B misdemeanor charge and is being held in Travis County Jail in Austin, Texas on a bond of $20,000.

Johnson gained fame -- and over 6 million followers on TikTok -- by preaching a lifestyle of "ancestral living" and avoiding processed foods. He claimed to follow 12 to 15 workouts a week, strengthened by a diet of raw liver and other organ meat. 

But he admitted to lying about his steroid use in the Netflix documentary that came out this past May, Untold: Liver King. Leaked emails revealed Johnson was spending $11,000 a month on supplements. 

While Johnson has never made an appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan has publicly criticized the Liver King for his claimed ancestral tenants.

“Detectives contacted Mr. Rogan, who stated he had never had any interaction with Johnson and considered the posts to be threatening. Based on this information, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Johnson on a charge of Terroristic Threat,” said police.
