Nike Makes Big Caitlin Clark Shoes Announcement
Caitlin Clark has become a household name in the world of sports, transcending the WNBA like few players have throughout its short history. Clark rose to prominence as a college player for Iowa, leading the Hawkeyes to back-to-back Final Four trips and setting a new NCAA scoring record.

The "Caitlin Clark" edition of the Kobe V Protro has been released, marking Clark's first signature player edition shoe drop with Nike.
Clark is eventually set to get her own individual model, much like A'ja Wilson and Sabrina Ionescu, but both started with special colorways of existing sneakers.

Clark has worn various editions of the Nike Kobe line since her days with the Hawkeyes, and the new release is a perfect match for the Fever uniform. The show mostly consists of a dark blue color to match the team's away jersey, with red and yellow accents like the team's logo.
This particular shoe, the Kobe V, was originally released in 2009. Bryant wore the signature model during the 2008-09 NBA season, which culminated in his fourth championship with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The "Protro" model is a reference to the shoe being updated with new technology to better support today's elite basketball players.
Clark and the Fever will be tested by one of the league's best teams in their next game. On Tuesday night, the Fever will head to Minnesota to face the Lynx, last season's Finals runner-up.
Minnesota has looked like one of the league's best teams once again this season, and star Napheesa Collier is a favorite for the MVP award.
