Jannik Sinner Opened Up About Having a Girlfriend or Wife

All eyes are on Jannik Sinner as he tries to redeem his narrow French Open loss with a victory at Wimbledon.

His rise in prominence and rivalry with Carlos Alcaraz have increased scrutiny over his dating life. Many want to know whether Sinner has a girlfriend or a wife? 

The answer is that it appears that, at the current time, he may have neither. But he has opened up on both topics over the years.

Sinner explained in an interview with Vanity Fair Italia that dating is difficult but the best players have a wife and kids.

"Of course, it's not easy, I travel a lot and during tournaments, I'm very focused," Sinner told the magazine in 2024. "But I think it's a beautiful thing when you find the right love. Like for everyone," he said. "And then, if you think about it, the best tennis players in the world all have wives and children."

Some are wondering whether Sinner is dating Laila Hasanovic after she was seen in his player's box at the French Open. According to the Mirror, she is the ex-girlfriend of Mick Schumacher, the son of ailing racing great Michael Schumacher.

Hasanovic is Danish, so when Sinner was spotted in Copenhagen, rumors flew. However, he denied he was dating the model, according to Daily Mail, saying, "No, no, there was no girl. I had just some business with a couple of photo shootings there. That's it. Nothing else."

However, the model posted photos from Wimbledon 2025. Although there's no confirmation she was there for Sinner, that got people talking again. She did tag her Wimbledon posts as advertisements, meaning she may just be at the tournament for the brand.

In April, Sports Illustrated reported that Sinner might be dating "Russian model" Lara Leito, who once dated actor Adrien Brody. 

However, in May, Sinner told reporters that he did not have a girlfriend at all, denying those rumors. 

“There’s a lot of attention,” Sinner said then, according to Tennis Up to Date.

“Also, off the court, I was surprised to see some pictures, which, nothing serious. I’m not in a relationship."

Sinner did have one prominent and confirmed girlfriend, but they broke up. She is tennis pro Anna Kalinskaya, SI reported.
