Serena Williams' Dramatic Gym Selfies Turn Heads
Serena Williams debuted several dramatic gym selfies that are turning heads.
Williams shared the photos of her lifting weights in the gym on July 11 and wrote, "Working out and working my angles." In them, she showed off her six-pack abs.
Stars weighed in on the comment thread.
“Always preparing for summer!!!!!” wrote Lala Anthony. “Shredded," added Holly Robinson Peete.
Fans were stunned, with many offering praise for her hard work. "This gotta be Whitney Houston or some em cause ain’t no way," wrote one fan. Another person thought she looked like her sister Venus, and several people said they hoped it meant she was planning a tennis "comeback."

She made the same post on her Instagram page.
Some fans admired her abs.

On Facebook, multiple people said they didn't recognize her because of the dramatic weight loss.
Two days before, she posted a photo in a gown and wrote, "One must cultivate resilience in the face of adversity, maintaining a posture of dignity and perseverance, even when the weight of life’s challenges seeks to overwhelm. Or as the infamous Tupac would say, 'You gotta keep your head up.'”
According to People, Williams, who is 43, said she "had met her weight loss goal in December 2024."
She "documented her journey with getting back into shape" after she gave birth to her second daughter in 2023 with her husband Alexis Ohanian, People reported.
Williams was the world's top-ranked women's tennis player for more than 300 weeks, and she has four Olympic gold medals and grand slams in both singles and doubles tennis.
Williams was the last American woman to win Wimbledon.
