Hulk Hogan's Wife Sky Daily Responded to Fan's Death Claim
Just days before Hulk Hogan died at the age of 71, his current wife Sky Hogan assured a fan that he was not near death.
In retrospect, the post is now heartbreaking.
Sky Daily Hogan was Hogan's wife after his divorce from Linda Hogan.
According to PennLive, not long before Hulk Hogan died, Sky Daily went on Instagram to respond to a fan who was concerned he was near death and possibly even in a coma.
In that post, which is no longer visible because it was on her Instagram story, Hogan's wife wrote, “No, he’s definitely not in a coma! His heart is strong, and there was never any lack of oxygen or brain damage. None of those rumors are true.”
She did detail that he had recent health struggles, though. Although his formal cause of death has not been released, TMZ says medics were called to Hogan's Florida home for a report of a possible "cardiac arrest."
“He’s been recovering from a major four-level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusin (ACDF), which is an intense surgery with a long and layered healing process,” she wrote, according to PennLive. “If you look it up, you’ll see what the last six weeks have involved… not just for his spine, but also for his vocal cords, and the eating/breathing tubes that are clamped over during surgery.
“We’ve been in and out of the hospital to support that recovery,” Dailey added. “So truly, there’s no need for the drama or panic some people try to stir up. He’s healing and we’re taking it one day at a time with love, strength, and patience.”
According to PennLive, the fan's concern likely germinated from claims made by radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge, who had said in June that "he was told that Hogan was suffering from heart failure and was dying in the hospital."
Daily Hogan has not comment on Hogan's death. Her Instagram page, though, if full of pictures showing them together. "I’m learning to slow down and truly be present…as a mom, a wife, and just finding peace in the in-between. Grateful for the quiet moments that remind me who I am beyond the busy," she wrote five weeks before he died.
Her most recent photo showing Hogan came in late May.
