74-year-old woman suffers serious injuries in head-on collision in Amherst
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A 74-year-old Williamsville woman is in the hospital with serious injuries after a head-on collision occurred in Amherst Thursday afternoon, according to Amherst police.
Police said the woman was driving eastbound on Sheridan Drive in the area of Fleetwood Terrace around 3:20 p.m. when she crossed into the westbound lanes and struck a vehicle head on. The operator of the struck vehicle was a 19-year-old man from Buffalo.
Both drivers were taken to ECMC. The woman suffered serious injuries while the man suffered non-life threatening injuries.
