It emerged last week that Tottenham are plotting a move for Leicester City winger Jeremy Monga, who became the Premier League’s second-youngest debutant last season at just 15 years and 271 days. It was said that Spurs wanted to overtake Man City in the race to sign the ‘outstanding’ talent.

Monga has continued his impressive growth this season, making 14 appearances across the league and Carabao Cup this term, notching up one goal.
According to TEAMtalk, his performances have caught the attention of many big-hitters in the top-flight, with two clubs in particular showing keen interest in the winger.
The outlet claims that Manchester City and Chelsea have now scouted the youngster and are eyeing January moves for him.
The Foxes are expected to have their resolve to hold to their academy graduate tested next month, with the Blues and Cityzens emerging as the front-runners, while Real Madrid are also watching the teenager.
Spurs need players who are proven at the highest level
Tottenham have had plenty of success with signing young, up-and-coming talents over recent years, with Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall and Luka Vuskovic all on their way to becoming special players.
However, what Thomas Frank and Spurs need in January is a couple of players who would strengthen their starting eleven and make an immediate impact.
While talents like Monga would undoubtedly be smart additions for the club, those signings have to be made alongside other experienced additions.
