“Kirrish ka gaana sunega?” – this one line from a viral video has taken the internet by storm. Social media users are now creating different mixes and versions using the same audio. But where did this trend come from, and who is the man seen in the clip? The viral reel, which many stumble upon while endlessly scrolling online, has once again shown how an unexpected moment can turn an ordinary person into an overnight internet sensation. His unique style of singing the Bollywood hit song ‘Dil na diya, dil na liya’ from actor Hrithik Roshan’s film Krrish has earned him the household name “Viral Boy Dhoom.”

Meet Viral Boy Dhoom Pintu Prasad

Pintu Prasad, a 32-year-old from Jamshedpur in Jharkhand, is the face behind the popular “Viral Dhoom Boy” trend. His life has not been easy. He lost his parents at a very young age and grew up without much family support. This led him through difficult phases, including struggles with addiction.

Despite his hardships, Pintu’s cheerful nature stood out in his videos. His energy and expressions connected with people, turning a simple clip into a viral hit.

To survive, Pintu did many small and tough jobs. He worked as a garbage picker, cleaned toilets, and even handled dead animals, always earning an honest living. According to a Navbharat Times report, “Pintu Prasad said that his parents passed away when he was a child… he picked garbage and cleaned latrines to fill his stomach.”

Through all this, his sister remained his biggest support, standing by him during his toughest times.

The video that changed everything

Pintu’s life took a sudden turn after a simple, unplanned video went viral. In the clip, he asks,
“Krrish ka gana sunega… le beta,” and then starts singing “Dil Na Diya” from Hrithik Roshan’s film Krrish, dancing wildly and freely.

His high-energy moves, raw expressions and “Dhoom-style” performance struck a chord with viewers. The clip spread rapidly across social media. Soon, his dialogue — “Le beta, Krrish ka gana sunega!” became a favourite line for reels and memes.

A new beginning

Thankfully, the viral fame also brought help as the Astitva Foundation, a rehabilitation centre in Jamshedpur, stepped in to support Pintu. According to Navbharat Times, the foundation’s founder, Saurabh Tiwari, and his team arranged treatment and care for him.

Pintu is now undergoing medical treatment for addiction and learning new skills so that he can build a stable life. Many social media influencers have also come forward to help him secure a better future.

 His Instagram account @viralboydhoom now has over 73,000 followers, where people closely follow his recovery and journey.
