Son of 'Song Sung Blue' Subject Calls Stars Hugh Jackman & Kate Hudson 'Monsters'
Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson are facing some brutal feedback.
The two star in the recently released Song Sung Blue, which tells the story of a real-life couple who rose to fame in the ’80s and ’90s with their Neil Diamond and Patsy Cline tribute band, Lightning & Thunder.
While the movie has had the support of one of the film’s subjects, Claire Sardina, who was seen attending the New York Premiere, her former stepson Michael Sardina Jr is not so thrilled.

He claims his father would be “rolling in his grave right now” over the new movie.
“Everybody thinks it’s such a wonderful film, it’s so touching. It’s all lies,” Michael Jr told the Daily Mail. “And it steals all the hard work that my father put in his entire life…”
Mike also called Hugh and Kate “monsters” after they didn’t reach out to him to learn more about his father, and for failing to mention him on their press tour.
“Every interview that those monsters have been on national television don’t even mention my existence at all, even though I was the most prevalent force in my father’s life, even when I wasn’t in Wisconsin, because I’m his only son,” he says. “They didn’t even try to contact me… They didn’t try to get more information… They could have very easily asked Craig [Brewer].”
Michael Jr‘s sister Angelina said that after watching the movie, the only thing in it that was true was “the love between my dad and Clairea.”
Angelina admits that the movie portrays “a beautiful story, but that’s not how it went down. And I guess that’s what’s upsetting because it’s a lie.”
The movie portrays her father as dying from heart issues, while in reality, he passed of complications from a severe brain bleed after a fall at his home.
Mike notes that he plans to file a lawsuit against the production company over the portrayal of his father’s life and wants “vindication” for him.
“I want the true story out there and I want it used with truth, with dignity, and I want retribution,” he shared. “I want retribution from NBCUniversal [and other parties involved], not just for me, for my father, for me, and for my little sister – my father’s true descendants because they screwed us over.”
“Everybody thinks it’s such a wonderful film, it’s so touching. It’s all lies. And it steals all the hard work that my father put in his entire life so that Claire, Rachel, and Dayna can soak up a massive paycheck,” he added, referring to his former stepmom and stepsiblings.
