Will Smith Sued by Violinist Brian King Joseph for Sexual Harassment

Will Smith is facing some major accusations.

On Tuesday (December 30), professional violinist Brian King Joseph filed a complaint at the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles against the 57-year-old Oscar-winning actor and his company Treyball Studios Management, Inc.

Brian – who is finalist from season 13 of America’s Got Talent – is suing Will and his company for sexual harassment, alleging wrongful termination and retaliation.

Keep reading to find out more…The complaint claims that Will “was deliberately grooming and priming Mr. Joseph for further sexual exploitation” after he invited Brian to join his Based on a True Story: 2025 global tour in November 2024, according to People.

The complaint details an alleged “traumatic series of events” in March 2025, amid Will‘s tour, in which Brian claims that he discovered someone had entered his Las Vegas hotel room, booked by Will‘s company, with no sign of forced entry.

Evidence “of sexual threat of violence” allegedly included a handwritten note, which read, “Brian, I’ll be back no later [sic] 5:30 just us,” along with a drawn heart and signed “Stone F.”

Also allegedly left in Brian‘s room were “wipes, a beer bottle, a red backpack, a bottle of HIV medication with another individual’s name, an earring, and hospital discharge paperwork belonging to a person unbeknownst to” the violinist.

Brian alleges that he “feared that an unknown individual would soon return to his room to engage in sexual acts” with him.

After he reported the situation to hotel security and tour management, Brian claims he was accused of lying and a member of Will‘s management team later “shamed” him. Several days later, Brian said that he was fired from the tour, though management told him the tour was “moving” in a different direction, according to USA Today.

However, Brian claims that another violinist was quickly hired to replace him, which he claims is proof he was not fired for “pretextual” reasons.

Also in his lawsuit, Brian alleges that Will had been “grooming and priming” him “for further sexual exploitation” since meeting in November 2024, given they “began spending additional time alone” in the months before the tour started.

Brian claims Will at one point said to him, “You and I have such a special connection, that I don’t have with anyone else.”

Additionally in his suit, Brian noted an incident in which he alleges tour management suspiciously lost his bag, which included his room key.

Brian said that alleged incidents caused him to have “severe emotional distress, economic loss, reputational harm, and other damages,” including “PTSD and other mental illness as a result of the termination.”

The Based on a True Story Tour ran from June to September 2025 following the March release of the album of the same name.

As of right now, Will has not publicly addressed Brian‘s claims or lawsuit.

The lawsuit against Will comes less than a month after his wife Jada Pinkett Smith was sued by Will‘s former best friend, who claims she threatened his life.
