Manchester United may pounce if Tottenham move for electric £87m attacker
As Tottenham Hotspur eye a move for an exciting 19-year-old winger, Manchester United are watching the situation very closely.
With Spurs now expected to miss out on Antoine Semenyo, the big question is which winger they will prioritise a move for next.
One name who has been heavily linked with a move to N17 over recent days is Yan Diomande, for whom Tottenham have been engaged in transfer talks.
The 19-year-old has been tearing up Bundesliga defences to shreds this term, and the Spurs target is protected €100m (£87m) release clause.

A few days ago, Fabrizio Romano named Tottenham and Man United as the clubs who are particularly keen on Diomande.
Sky Sports reporter Danyal Khan has now confirmed that the RB Leipzig man is indeed on the Red Devils’ wishlist.
He suggested that while United are not guaranteed to make a move for the Ivorian, they could be forced to act if another club pushes forward with talks.
Khan wrote on X: “Manchester United are one of the clubs monitoring RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande. United not guaranteed to pursue another winger after missing out on Antoine Semenyo but may move for Diomande if other clubs start moving for the highly-rated forward in this window.”
Spurs will face intense competition for Diomande
Tottenham are expected to face competition from the likes of Liverpool for Diomande, with the Reds thought to have identified him as a potential Mohammed Salah replacement.
According to a report in TBR Football, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have also scouted the Spurs target multiple times this season.
The same outlet added that Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping an eye on the youngster’s situation.
