Right-wing firebrand furious as Trump admin gives Qatar 'tongue baths'

A right-wing firebrand unleashed on the Trump administration Thursday amid reports the president and his circle have cozied up to Qatar.

Laura Loomer sounded the alarm on social media over what she described as a dangerous power imbalance between the United States and Qatar, claiming the Trump administration has surrendered American sovereignty to the wealthy Gulf nation.

In a blistering X post, Loomer laid out her grievances point by point, arguing that the relationship has spiraled out of control.

"We agreed to go to war for Qatar. We let the Qataris have a base on US soil. Every week another member of the Trump admin is in Qatar giving the Emir a tongue bath," she wrote, escalating her rhetoric as she continued.

Loomer's central complaint centered on Al Udeid Air Base, a massive American military installation in Qatar. She bemoaned that Qatar has effectively weaponized its hosting of the base to constrain U.S. military operations in the Middle East.

"And now Qatar says we can't use our own base to attack Iran? It's time to shut down Al Udeid Air Base," Loomer declared. "We cannot allow the blood thirsty terror financing Qatari terrorists to dictate terms to us."

Loomer also called for more aggressive action against Qatar, suggesting the nation's financing of militant groups should have triggered a military response.

"In a just world, we wouldn't have a base in Qatar and we would have bombed Qatar for funding Hamas while they held Americans hostage," she stated.

Loomer concluded her broadside with stark language, declaring: "Qatar shouldn't have a say in how we deal with terrorists. Qatar is a terror state."

The Trump administration has significantly deepened ties with Qatar through security guarantees, diplomatic partnerships, and economic gestures. In September, Trump issued an executive order explicitly guaranteeing Qatar's security against external attacks, treating any aggression as a direct threat to U.S. interests.

Qatar also gifted a $200 million 747 jet for potential Air Force One use.
