Here's What The U.S. Snowboard Team Will Wear At The Milano-Cortina Games

The U.S. Snowboard Team uniforms have been released, and it looks like Kappa kept it simple in the best way possible.

Kappa will outfit every athlete on the U.S. Ski Team, Snowboard Team, and Paralympic Team in Milano-Cortina this year. Images of the kits were released to the public on January 20, 2026.

The design pays homage to American basics: stars, stripes, and the classic red, white, and blue that can be found on the flag. The kits are inspired by the Team USA uniforms from the Los Angeles 1984 Games. One important distinction: every Olympic and Paralympic athlete will wear the same uniform.

“This uniform represents everything we want our teams to feel as they arrive in Milano Cortina: united, confident and ready to perform at the highest level,” said Sophie Goldschmidt, President and CEO of U.S. Ski & Snowboard. “Working closely with Kappa, we were able to create a collection that delivers world-class technical performance while celebrating the pride, history and identity of our team.”

The collection includes a jacket and pants, a technical anorak jacket, a long-jacket, distinction-specific race suits, and a merchandise line created for fans. The use of the same colors and emblems helps create a universal team look, rather than event-specific fits of the past.

It reflects decades of research, technical expertise and design culture developed within the world of skiing," Lorenzo Boglione, Vice President of Basic Net, said in a press release. "Kappa Collaborating with U.S. Ski & Snowboard is an honor and a testament to the credibility Kappa has built over time. It also reinforces our long-term vision of working side by side with athletes and federations to develop authentic, performance-driven products born from real sporting experience."

The collaboration between Kappa and U.S. Ski and Snowboard started in 2022.

Consider me pleasantly surprised at how good these look. It is tough to beat the uniqueness of the team kits from Burton from 2006 through 2018. The baseball-inspired pinstripes in Torino were iconic, as were the denim look that Shaun White wore on his way to halfpipe gold in Vancouver. And who could forget the NASA-themed kits from 2018?

But when Volcom took over, we might have lost the plot in 2022. Some pieces looked incredible. Others looked incredibly busy.

Kappa has clearly returned to back to basics. As we know with everything else in the world of fashion, what’s old is now new again. It appears as if technical kits are no exception.
