DOJ subpoenas Tim Walz and other top Minnesota officials, governor responds with political diatribe
The Department of Justice has issued subpoenas for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, St. Paul Mayor Kaohly Her and Hennepin County attorney Mary Moriarty in its investigation of the political violence being orchestrated by Democrats and other leftists in the Twin Cities against federal immigration enforcement officers.

The grand jury subpoenas were served in relation to “conspiring to impede federal law enforcement operations there.”
Those officials repeatedly have been voicing their condemnation of federal law officers, and their instructions that they “get the f— out.”
Walz immediately responded online with a political diatribe.

His statement invited President Trump “to help restore calm and order and reaffirm that true public safety comes from shared purpose, trust, and respect.”
“But let me be absolutely clear: The state of Minnesota will not be drawn into political theater,” he said, positioning his state politically in opposition to federal law enforcement.
“This Justice Department investigation, sparked by calls for accountability in the face of violence, chaos, and the killing of Renee Good, does not seek justice. It is a partisan distraction. Minnesotans are more concerned with safety and peace rather than with baseless legal tactics aimed at intimidating public servants standing shoulder to shoulder with their community.”
Good, in fact, was the woman who use her vehicle to obstruct ICE operations. She then, according to video, drove her vehicle at an ICE officer and hit him, and he responded by firing shots that killed her.
Walz added, “My focus has always been protecting the people of this state, not protecting myself, Families are scared. Kids are afraid to go to school. Small businesses are hurting. A mother is dead, and the people responsible have yet to be held accountable. That’s where the energy of the federal government should be directed: toward restoring trust, accountability, and real law and order, not political retaliation.”
The community in Minnesota has been exploded in recent weeks by evidence of billions of dollars worth of fraud on the America taxpayers by schemes operated by members of the state’s Somali immigrant community. Dozens of convictions already have been obtained but evidence shows there’s much more yet to be investigated and prosecuted.
Some of the frauds apparently were as simple as claiming to have set up a daycare, and billing the government millions of dollars, when no actual services ever were provided. The proceeds reportedly have been used for luxury estates, luxury cars and more.
A report at Just the News said the subpoenas were part of the DOJ investigation into obstruction of ICE officers and the Trump administration’s illegal immigration crackdown in the state, where some 10,000 illegal aliens already have been arrested.
Besides obstruction, the investigation is looking into whether Walz turned a blind eye to the massive fraud scheme.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has accused Minnesota officials of perpetuating violence directed at federal officers.
