India votes against UNHRC resolution on Iran crackdown

India voted against a UN Human Rights Council resolution condemning Iran's crackdown on anti-government protests, which demanded an end to the "brutal repression." The resolution, passed by 25 members, was opposed by seven, including India, China, Cuba, and Vietnam. Iran's Ambassador to India expressed gratitude for India's "principled and firm support."
