Feds: Charity exec bought $7M house, Greece vacation home with homeless money
Alexander Soofer, 42, executive director of Abundant Blessings, a Hyde Park-based charity, was arrested on federal wire fraud charges for allegedly stealing $23 million in public money intended to help homeless people, the DOJ announced. He contracted with the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority to provide housing for homeless and at-risk individuals. — Read the rest
