Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe has revealed what his sources have told him about the North London club’s pursuit of West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville.
Summerville has been one of the few bright sparks in what has been a challenging season for the Hammers.
The Dutchman has three goals and four assists in 18 appearances across all competitions for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men, with one of those goals coming in their 2-1 win against Spurs last week and another in the 3-1 win over Sunderland.
It has now emerged that Tottenham are plotting a shock £25m offer for the West Ham winger as they aim to add firepower to their attack.
Paul O’Keefe reveals if Tottenham are likely to sign Crysencio Summerville
The update, which came from The Daily Mail, claimed that Spurs see the 24-year-old as someone who can solve their problems on the left, given his pace and his trickery.
However, Paul O’Keefe has now revealed that Tottenham’s London rivals are not ready to sell the Netherlands international this month and that the Lilywhites will have to wait until the summer to get the player.
When a Spurs fan asked on social media if there is truth to the Summerville rumours, O’Keefe responded on X: “They won’t sell in Jan. Be summer if relegated.”
Spurs are also in talks with West Ham over a strange swap deal
Kudus was the first player Tottenham signed from West Ham since 2011, but it appears that the floodgates might open now.
It has emerged that Summerville may not be the only topic of discussion between the two clubs this transfer window.
It has been reported that Spurs and West Ham are also discussing a swap loan deal involving Mads Hermansen and Antonin Kinsky, which could see the two goalkeepers heading in opposite directions on a temporary basis.
