Texas Governor Greg Abbott Slams Leftist Organizations That Fund Anti-ICE Ops (VIDEO)

Texas Governor Greg Abbott was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo to talk about how his State is cooperating with the Department of Homeland Security to crack down on illegal aliens.

“It’s a real important moment to compare what has happened in the States when you actually are working with the federal law enforcement. And that’s what the case has been in Texas. Is that right?” Bartiromo asked.

“That’s exactly right, Maria. Listen, in Texas, we are the number one State for deportations because we are working collaboratively. We believe in the rule of law in the State of Texas,” Abbott said.

Governor Abbott explained that Texas will continue to support ICE operations to carry out the duties that Congress has given them.

“We believe and know that ICE has a duty, as given to them by Congress and that is to remove people who are here illegally, and the State of Texas will assist in that process,” Abbott continued.

“Back when he was President, you didn’t see this chaos in Minnesota when they tried to remove people from Minnesota. This is really just a pushback against President Trump as opposed to the pushback about what the obligation is for ICE to do its job, and that’s to remove people who are here illegally,” Abbott explained when Obama was in office.

“I’ve been to the border plenty and I went about six times during the Biden administration, and I witnessed up close and personal what was happening on the ground,” Bartiromo said.

“Assess the situation for us today versus what you were facing, and the citizens of Texas were facing under the Biden administration,” Bartiromo continued.

Governor Abbott explained that the Texas border during Biden compared to after President Trump took office was unrecognizable. It went from thousands of illegals daily to no more illegal crossings.

“Maria, you would not recognize it today,” Abbott said.

“Literally, in a small, little town like Eagle Pass, Texas, there would be thousands of people crossing the border illegally a day, stocked up in the park just outside there of Eagle Pass,” Abbott said of what was occurring under Biden.

“Now there is nobody who has come across the border illegally in that park anymore,” Abbott said.

“Under President Trump, for about 8 or 9 months in a row, there has been exactly zero people allowed to cross the border illegally and to stay in the United States,” Abbott continued.

“Border Czar Tom Homan warned that left-wing groups are funding the attacks on ICE,” Bartiromo said.

“Do you believe that this is domestic or are these also tied to foreign adversaries like Communist China?” Bartiromo asked.

“I think one of the most important things the Trump administration can achieve is to get to the bottom of who is funding all of this,” Abbott said.
