One of the most popular types of Skechers shoes is the Skechers slip-on. These shoes make it easy to fly out the door, have a sporty vibe, and feel comfortable to tread on. Recently, a Cole Haan shoe caught my attention for doing something very similar while retaining that elevated and professional look that’s signature to the brand. And, as fortune would have it, Nordstrom Rack is currently selling that shoe at 42% off.
The Cole Haan Grand Crosscourt LTT Slip-On Sneaker is now on sale for $110, and it comes in a ton of colorways, stretching the entire spectrum from a refined navy or ivory nubuck to a straight-up black leather shoe. Typically, Nordstrom Rack shoe deals are limited to a single colorway, up to perhaps three or so if we’re lucky. One of the selling points about Cole Haan shoes is that they’re business, or at least business casual, on top and pure comfort on the bottom. They have a sort of squish to every step, and especially in the first 50 miles or so while the shoe is “learning” your foot, that makes things highly comfortable. Fortunately, this shoe is no different. They're great to wear in most casual office settings, and easy enough to get in and out of.
Of course, the uppers are the icing for the cake of the Cole Haan experience. Here, you have eight different choices that almost make it like you’re choosing from eight different shoes. An all-white sneaker is great for when you want to look fresh, an all-black one for service jobs where you’ll be on your feet all day, and a variety of leather uppers have that professional spin to them that’ll make you feel worthy of your paygrade. Ultimately, the colorway selection and build of the Cole Haan here are all a bit sharper, but both styles of shoe have a person and a place that they match best.
