'Baldur's Gate' to Become HBO TV Series, But Video Game Creators Say They Have 'No Involvement'
The beloved video game Baldur’s Gate is being adapted into a television series for HBO.
Craig Mazin, the co-creator of HBO’s The Last of Us series, is attached to create, write, executive produce, and showrun the upcoming series, according to Deadline.
The television series will be a continuation of the video games, with the series taking place after the events in Baldur’s Gate 3.
But, fans might be disappointed to learn that the creators of the video games are not involved in the series.

Video game journalist Geoff Keighley tweeted, “Larian, the creators of Baldur’s Gate 3, tell me they have no involvement in the series.”
Craig has spoken out about his desire to make the series.
“After putting nearly 1000 hours into the incredible world of Baldur’s Gate 3, it is a dream come true to be able to continue the story that Larian and Wizards of The Coast created,” he said in a statement to Deadline. “I am a devoted fan of D&D and the brilliant way that Swen Vincke and his gifted team adapted it. I can’t wait to help bring Baldur’s Gate and all of its incredible characters to life with as much respect and love as we can, and I’m deeply grateful to Gabe Marano and his team at Hasbro for entrusting me with this incredibly important property.”
The Last of Us just revealed some big news for the third season.
