Made By Mountains: A Riding Film Worth Waiting For
The teaser for a new film featuring Graham Agassiz, Matt Hunter, Matty Miles, and Lucy Van Eesteren just dropped, and it looks like we’re in for something special when the full project is released. Aptly titled Made By Mountains, the film promises “an ethereal and visual journey into the inspirational and transformative power of a life of adventure in the mountains.”
Created by filmmaker Blake Jorgenson, Made By Mountains feels like a breath of fresh air; a reminder of what makes a life built around the mountains so meaningful in the first place. Rather than treating terrain as a backdrop, the film positions it as an active force—something that shapes identity, perspective, and the relationships formed within it.
For some, the mountains are simply a place. For many riders, they are far more than that. They are a source of community, camaraderie, shared experience, and personal significance—things people often spend their entire lives searching for. As I can imagine many of us do, I feel a deep connection to the mountains, and as I continue to shape a life centered around them, their importance only seems to grow as time rambles on. They stand resolute and unwavering, but with enough time and dedication, they begin to speak clearly to those willing to both listen and explore. The people, the experiences, and the adventures these wild places facilitate undoubtedly become pieces of who we are, and this film seeks to share that idea with the masses.

Made By Mountains is a story of cultural impact and personal significance for four of BC’s finest riders and follows the crew on a mountain biking journey while diving into themes of vulnerability, growth, friendship, and the passing of generational wisdom that accompany adventures like these.
