Considering how much game technology has improved over the past three decades, that ranking is already impressive. The fact that the games were released for the Game Boy, which further limited their design potential, makes that achievement staggering.

February 2026 also marked the 40th anniversary of the initial release of one of the best games of all time from a completely different franchise.
