Drone strike on Bahrain leaves at least 32 injured amid widening regional war
At least 32 people were injured in Bahrain after a reported drone attack attributed to Iran, according to Bahraini media citing the country’s health ministry.
Authorities said the wounded included civilians, with the youngest victim reported to be a two-month-old baby following the early morning strike.
Iranian media reported that the Bapco oil refinery in Bahrain was among the targets of the military attack carried out early Monday.
The strike occurred on the tenth day of escalating regional conflict, as Iran launched drone and missile attacks across parts of the Middle East.
The latest escalation follows an intensifying war involving Iran, Israel and the United States, which has already triggered strikes across several locations in the region.
Analysts warn that continued attacks could draw additional Middle Eastern countries into the conflict as civilian casualties and infrastructure damage increase. Observers say the expanding attacks risk widening the war further and increasing instability across the region.
