Confirmed Man United XI Aston Villa: Carrick makes two changes, Sesko on bench & Mount returns

Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick has unveiled his starting XI for today’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils will be hoping to return to winning ways after losing 2-1 to Newcastle United last time.

Carrick has made two changes to his starting XI from the previous encounter.

Senne Lammens keeps his place between the sticks after a solid first few months in Manchester.

Diogo Dalot has made his way into the starting XI in place of Noussair Mazraoui at right-back.

Leny Yoro and Harry Maguire start again at the heart of the defence. Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt continue their recovery from injury setbacks.

Martinez is expected to return to the squad when United travel to face AFC Bournemouth next Friday.

Carrick has once again trusted his preferred midfield trio of Kobbie Mainoo, Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes to control proceedings in the centre of the pitch.

Amad Diallo has replaced Benjamin Sesko in the attack. He looks poised to start on right wing, with Bryan Mbeumo operating from the opposite flank.

Matheus Cunha is expected to play as a centre-forward today, with Sesko potentially coming off the bench in the second half.
