‘It’s enough’ – Tottenham’s Igor Tudor shuts down journalist after unfair manager question
Igor Tudor had a tense interview with Sky Sports’ Patrick Davidson following Tottenham’s 1-1 draw against Liverpool on Sunday.
Despite heading to Anfield with double-digit injury absentees and barely having any senior players to call on from the bench, Tottenham produced a performance full of fight and spirit to emerge with a point.
That draw ensures that the Lilywhites stay one point clear of London rivals West Ham in 18th place.
Over the past few days, reports have indicated that Tottenham are exploring their options to replace Tudor, but the Croat may have bought himself some time after picking up his first point as Spurs boss.
Igor Tudor bites back when asked about his Tottenham future
The 47-year-old would have been a relieved man at the final whistle, but he did not enjoy the questions that were put to him in a post-match interview with Sky Sports.
Interviewer Patrick Davidson asked the Tottenham boss if he has shown that he can provide ‘hope’ and that Spurs don’t need another new manager.
Tudor simply responded: “It’s enough. I always tell you what I think”, before Davidson pushed him again on whether he believes questions like this need to be answered.
The Spurs interim boss said: “That is not a question for me. I’m the coach. You need to ask me about players and how we play. This question that journalists like to ask is a question that doesn’t have sense. When you ask the coach about your position, you don’t have any sense of this.
“All the coaches say the same things, but you always insist the coach needs to answer something because he is obliged to come to this press conference. Otherwise, he likes to stay at home, but you insist on almost always asking the same questions!”
Davidson then pushed Tudor again on whether he is the manager who can provide the hope for Tottenham to stay up.
The former Juventus boss was not too impressed, and he responded with: “I didn’t say that. What I will answer, do you provide hope? What kind of question (is that). What do I need to tell you now? I tell you what I tell my players, of course. Are we finished or not? Okay, thank you.”

Spurs now have something to build on
Tottenham had lost six consecutive games across all competitions heading into Merseyside, and the club appeared devoid of the hope that Tudor was talking about.
That is why the performance and result at Anfield were much needed to change the momentum and give the squad something to build on.
Tudor has insisted that Tottenham believe they can stay up, and he will be hoping that Sunday’s 1-1 draw is the start of a turnaround after a horrid start to his spell in North London.
