'Green Book' lidera premios del Sindicato de Productores de EU

El Sindicado de Productores (PGA) anunció la lista de ganadores de la edición número 30 de los premios anuales a lo mejor del cine y la televisión.

En una ceremonia realizada en el Hotel Beverly Hilton, los miembros del jurado entregaron el premio principal a Green Book, que se coronó en la categoría Mejor productor en largometraje superando a Roma de Alfonso Cuarón y A star is born de Bradley Cooper. 

​Green Book está ambientada en la de década de los 60 y relata la historia de un pianista negro que contrata a un italiamericano para que sea su chofer y guardaespaldas debido a que su vida corre peligro por el racismo que se vive.

De acuerdo con información de Variety, el director de la cinta, Peter Farrelly, mostró su alegría al recibir el reconocimiento y agradeció al Sindicato.

“Cuando haces tonterías y más tonterías, nunca esperas obtener un premio (…) para mí este premio es como que Warren Buffett haya ganado la lotería”, indicó.
