Սերժի խայտառակ ցուցմունքը․Սենսացիոն բացահայտում մարտի 1-ի գործով
«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթի տրամադրության տակ է հայտնվել մարտի 1-ի քրեական գործով ՀՀ երրորդ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի առաջին հարցաքննության սղագրությունը: Նա հարցաքննվել է երկու անգամ:
Հիշեցնենք, որ 2008թ Սերժ Սարգսյանը զբաղեցրել է ՀՀ վարչապետի պաշտոնը եւ այս գործով նա հարցաքննվել է որպես վկա: Քննիչի հարցերը հիմնականում վերաբերել են 2008թ. փետրվարի 23-ի 0038 հույժ գաղտնի հրամանին, որը որակվել է ներքաղաքական գործընթացներում ԶՈՒ-ն օգտագործել, եւ այդպես սահմանադրական կարգը տապալել. մեղադրանք, որ առաջադրվել է երկրորդ նախագահ Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանին: Եւ, ահա, հարցաքննության ժամանակ Սերժ Սարգսյանն ասել է, որ եթե ինքն էլ լիներ ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար, ապա ինքն էլ այդկերպ կվարվեր. կստորագրեր նման հրաման` զորքը բերելով զորանոցային վիճակի:
«Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանն ինձ հետ մինչեւ արտակարգ դրություն հայտարարելը քննարկել է եւ այդ քննարկման ժամանակ հայտնել է, որ արտակարգ դրության պայմաններում օգտագործվելու են Զինված ուժերը: Քննարկման արդյունքում ես դրական դիրքորոշում եմ հայտնել»,- ասել է Սերժ Սարգսյանը: Նա հաստատել է նաեւ, որ Արցախից բանակային ստորաբաժանումներ են բերվել, սակայն ասել է, թե Կառավարության շենքում Արցախի ՊԲ սպաների տեսել է մարտի 3-4-ին, իսկ մինչ այդ` մարտի 1-ի երեկոյան, կառավարության շենքի մոտ նկատել է Վազգեն Սարգսյանի անվան ռազմական ինստիտուտի կուրսանտներին:
«Արդեն մարտի 3-ին կամ 4-ին կառավարության շենքում տեսել եմ Արցախի Հանրապետության ՊԲ ղեկավար սպաների եւ հասկացել եմ, որ Երեւան են եկել նաեւ Արցախի բանակային ստորաբաժանումներ: Վերջիններիս գալու անհրաժեշտության, նպատակի կամ դրդապատճառների մասին չեմ հետաքրքրվել եւ որեւէ մեկին որեւէ հարցադրում այդ կապակցությամբ չեմ արել»,- ասել է Սարգսյանը:

Upon returning to Toronto, Jackson published an article about his and Thomson’s experience in the Park in the Toronto Sunday World, included in which were several illustrations.[43] After this initial experience, Thomson and another colleague, William Broadhead, went on a two-month expedition, going up the Spanish River and into Mississagi Forest Reserve (today Mississagi Provincial Park).[51] Thomson’s transition from commercial art towards his own original style of painting became apparent around this time.[52][53] Much of his artwork from this trip, mainly oil sketches and photographs, was lost during two canoe spills;[52] the first was on Green Lake in a rain squall and the second in a series of rapids.[54][note 3]
In fall 1912, Albert Robson, Grip’s art director, moved to the design firm Rous & Mann.[25] A month after returning to Toronto, Thomson followed Robson and left Grip to join Rous & Mann too.[42][35][56] They were soon joined by Varley, Carmichael and Lismer.[54] Robson later spoke favourably of Thomson’s loyalty, calling him «a most diligent, reliable and capable craftsman».[31] Robson’s success in attracting great talent was well understood.[57] Employee Leonard Rossell believed that the key to Robson’s success «was that the artists felt that he was interested in them personally and did all he could to further their progress. Those who worked there were all allowed time off to pursue their studies … Tom Thomson, so far as I know, never took definite lessons from anyone, yet he progressed quicker than any of us. But what he did was probably of more advantage to him. He took several months off in the summer and spent them in Algonquin Park.»[58]

In October, MacDonald introduced Thomson to Dr. James MacCallum.[54] A frequent visitor to the Ontario Society of Artists’ (OSA) exhibitions, MacCallum was admitted to the Arts and Letters Club in January 1912. There, he met artists such as John William Beatty, Arthur Heming, MacDonald and Harris.[54] MacCallum eventually persuaded Thomson to leave Rous and Mann and start a painting career.[42] In October 1913, MacCallum introduced Thomson to A. Y. Jackson, later a founder of the Group of Seven.[59] MacCallum recognized Thomson’s and Jackson’s talents and offered to cover their expenses for one year if they committed themselves to painting full time.[60][61] MacCallum and Jackson both encouraged Thomson to «take up painting seriously, [but] he showed no enthusiasm. The chances of earning a livelihood by it did not appear to him promising. He was sensitive and independent, and feared he might become an object of patronage.»[59] MacCallum wrote that when he first saw Thomson’s sketches, he recognized their «truthfulness, their feeling and their sympathy with the grim fascinating northland … they made me feel that the North had gripped Thomson as it had gripped me since I was eleven when I first sailed and paddled through its silent places.» He described Thomson’s paintings as «dark, muddy in colour, tight and not wanting in technical defects».[62] After Thomson’s death, MacCallum helped preserve and advocate for his work.[61]
