Arsenal's star academy winger on the brink of exit

Fulham have made a formal approach to bring Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson back to Craven Cottage on loan ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan with the Cottagers, scoring twice and registering one assist in 13 appearances before a hamstring injury ended his season in December.

Talks are ongoing between both clubs, with discussions focused on the financial structure of the deal, including wage contributions and potential add-ons.

Nelson has returned to full training following surgery and was recently pictured working with the ball during Arsenal’s pre-season tour in Spain.

The Gunners depart for their Asia tour this weekend, and a quick resolution to Nelson’s future is expected, especially as he is not in Mikel Arteta’s immediate plans.

With Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and new signing Noni Madueke ahead of him in the pecking order, regular football at Arsenal appears unlikely.
