Mikel Arteta "waiting" to sign £63.5m star, deal could be finalised today - report
Arsenal have had a good transfer window thus far, and they have already confirmed three signings.
The club announced the arrivals of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard earlier this month.
Chelsea winger Noni Madueke and Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera are also expected to join the club soon.
A Bola (page 3) now report that today is the last day to secure an agreement for Viktor Gyokeres so that he can travel with the squad for the pre-season tour of Asia (July 19).

Arsenal have reportedly proposed to pay a fixed fee of £55 million plus £8.5m in add-ons (£63.5m deal), but the bonuses are proving to be a sticking point.
Sporting want the add-ons to be easily achievable.
Gyokeres could be on his way to Arsenal soon
The Sweden international had a sensational 2024/25 campaign with Sporting, scoring 54 goals and providing 13 assists from 52 appearances in all competitions.
He was the second choice for the Gunners at the beginning of the transfer window. However, the club’s inability to strike a deal with RB Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko looks set to benefit him.
Gyokeres has been holding out for a move to the Emirates Stadium. It has been reported that his agent has waived off his £6m commission to speed up negotiations with Sporting (A Bola).
The add-ons are proving a roadblock at the moment, with Sporting wanting most of the bonuses covered during the first season. Arsenal want some part to be difficult to achieve.
The Gunners are scheduled to travel for the pre-season tour of Asia on Saturday. We won’t be surprised if the club find a suitable transfer agreement for Gyokeres in the next few hours.
Arsenal could include Madueke and Mosquera in the travelling squad tomorrow, but it seems unlikely that Gyokeres will be part of the group. He could join them after a few days.
