Arsenal have signed England international attacker Noni Madueke from Chelsea, and it appears they are closing in on a deal for Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera.
The Spain youth international is expected to join the Gunners anytime soon, and a picture of him having an interview with the North London club has leaked online.
Getty Images uploaded a photo of Mosquera on their website, thinking it was Madueke, and it is now making the rounds on the internet.
While the advancement of AI and Photoshop had some doubting the authenticity of the image, a screenshot of the Getty Images page has been taken, confirming it is indeed Mosquera.
The 21-year-old is likely to be announced anytime soon as an Arsenal player, and he could be going on tour with the squad having already resumed pre-season with Valencia before his soon-to-be confirmed departure.
Madueke wanted to cut short his post-Club World Cup holiday to join in Arsenal’s pre-season plans immediately and be involved in the trip to Singapore and Hong Kong, but he has been urged to get some rest and a two-week break.
The likes of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard will be going on tour with the team following their arrival earlier this month, but it remains to be seen whether Mosquera will be part of them.
The Gunners begin their pre-season friendly games later this month with matches against AC Milan on July 23, Newcastle United on July 27 and Tottenham Hotspur on July 31.
They return to England in August with games against Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao at Emirates Stadium before kicking off the 2025-26 Premier League campaign with a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on August 17.
Arsenal have officially announced four new additions to their first-team and their fifth signing could be joining very soon.
A deal for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres is also believed to be on the cards after his agents flew in into London this week for further talks.
