Strong winds and thunderstorms with hail to hit Astana and Almaty

On July 30, the capital is expected to see partly cloudy skies with occasional rain and thunderstorms. Hail and squally winds are possible during the day. Winds will come from the south and southwest at 9–14 m/s, with gusts reaching 15–20 m/s during the day. Nighttime temperatures will range from +14 to +16°C, and daytime temperatures from +22 to +24°C.
On July 31, partly cloudy conditions are expected again, with intermittent rain and thunderstorms. Hail and squalls remain a possibility during the day. Fog may develop in some areas during the night and early morning. Winds will shift to the northwest at 9–14 m/s. Temperatures at night will be +12 to +14°C, and during the day +20 to +22°C.
On August 1, the weather will remain partly cloudy with occasional rain and thunderstorms. Fog is likely at night and in the early morning. Northwest winds will blow at 9–14 m/s, with gusts up to 15–20 m/s during the day. Temperatures will range from +13 to +15°C at night and from +21 to +23°C during the day.
Weather in Almaty
On July 30, Almaty will see partly cloudy skies, with rain and thunderstorms expected in the afternoon. Winds from the west will blow at 3–8 m/s, occasionally gusting up to 18 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will be +19 to +21°C, and daytime temperatures +30 to +32°C.
On July 31, forecasters predict partly cloudy skies with brief showers and thunderstorms. Winds will shift to the southwest at 5–10 m/s, with gusts of 15–20 m/s in the daytime. Temperatures will range from +20 to +22°C at night and from +29 to +31°C during the day.
On August 1, partly cloudy skies will persist, with brief showers and thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. Southwest winds will blow at 5–10 m/s, with gusts up to 15–20 m/s. Temperatures at night will be +20 to +22°C, and during the day +31 to +33°C.
