Kalashnikovs, pistols, grenades – NSC showcases seized weapons

Tengrinews.kz – The National Security Committee showcased weapons seized in July across eight regions of the country.
According to the committee, in July, under the coordination of the Prosecutor’s Office, the NSC, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, carried out a series of special operations in Almaty, Almaty Region, Aktobe Region, Zhambyl Region, Pavlodar Region, Atyrau Region, Mangystau Region, and Ulytau Region.

A total of 45 firearms were confiscated, including:

6 Kalashnikov assault rifles;18 pistols of various modifications;14 hunting rifles;7 sawed-off shotguns;6 grenades;2 TNT blocks;
Over 400 rounds of ammunition.

Additionally, in Akmola Region, authorities intercepted a channel for stealing industrial explosives from a local enterprise. Twenty kilograms of explosive material were seized.
Other information, in accordance with Part 1 of Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code, is not subject to disclosure.
