Arsenal could be without 8 players vs Brighton after Arteta confirms quadruple injury blow

Arsenal could be without eight players for the Carabao Cup fourth round tie against Brighton & Hove Albion following a quadruple injury blow on Sunday.

The Gunners picked up a fourth-straight Premier League win after a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium. The club have moved four points clear at the top of the table as a result.

Despite this, the game ended on a sour note with multiple injury concerns. William Saliba sustained a knock during the opening half and was replaced by Cristhian Mosquera at the half-time interval.

Declan Rice and Riccardo Calafiori were likewise struggling during the latter stages of the encounter, and manager Mikel Arteta confirmed that the duo need to be assessed after picking up injuries.

Alongside the trio, Gabriel Martinelli also ‘felt something‘ after the game.

Kai Havertz (knee) is likewise anticipated to return this year, but Gabriel Jesus’ comeback could be delayed until January, given that he has just returned to the grass after a serious injury.
