Los Angeles — Manny Pacquiao just could not take his mind off basketball even as he prepares to hit two US cities this week to promote his fight against Tim Bradley in April. Speaking to reporters, Pacquiao, who also officially is head coach of Mahindra in the PBA, said he believes Alaska should beat San Miguel Beer in the ongoing the PBA Smart Bro Philippine Cup. Pacquiao explained his choice by saying that Alaska has more teamwork and perhaps a deeper bench, although the last point can be disputable. “Basketball is not won by one or two players but five,” he said. “It’s teamwork that wins games.” When asked about his own team, Pacquiao frowned, admitting that he hasn’t been able to get himself immersed with his own ballclub as of late because of too many commitments.
