Storms and heavy rain forecast for Astana and Almaty

On July 3-4, partly cloudy skies are expected, with periods of rain and thunderstorms. Hail and squalls are forecast during the daytime. Southwesterly winds will reach 9-14 meters per second, with gusts of 15-20 m/s. Temperatures will range from +13 to +15°C at night and +24 to +26°C during the day.

On July 5, partly cloudy conditions will continue, with occasional rain, thunderstorms, and daytime hail. Winds will shift from southwesterly to northwesterly at 9-14 m/s, with gusts of 15-20 m/s. Temperatures will be +13 to +15°C at night and +28 to +30°C during the day.

Weather forecast for Almaty

On July 3, cloudy weather is expected, with rain and thunderstorms. Heavy rain and squalls are forecast at times overnight. Westerly winds will blow at 3-8 m/s, with gusts of up to 15-20 m/s. Temperatures will range from +17 to +19°C at night and +23 to +25°C during the day.

On July 4, partly cloudy skies are forecast, along with brief showers and thunderstorms. Westerly winds will reach 3-8 m/s, with occasional gusts of up to 15 m/s. Temperatures will be +17 to +19°C at night and +25 to +27°C during the day.

On July 5, partly cloudy weather will continue, with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Winds will shift from westerly to easterly at 3-8 m/s, with gusts of up to 13 m/s. Daytime temperatures will rise to +27 to +29°C, while nighttime temperatures will remain at +17 to +19°C.

Earlier, Kazhydromet warned that an active cyclone will continue to influence weather conditions across Kazakhstan in the coming days. Most regions are expected to experience rain, thunderstorms, periods of heavy rainfall, and possible hail. Strong winds are forecast nationwide, while dust storms are expected in southern parts of the country.
