Driver in Turkestan region hid license plate using special device

Tengrinews.kz — Police have held accountable a driver who deliberately concealed his vehicle’s license plate and violated traffic rules in Turkestan Region, citing Polisia.kz.
While on duty on the Shymkent–Samara highway, patrol police officers stopped a Toyota Camry traveling toward Turkestan based on information received from an automated traffic violation detection system.
During the inspection, it was found that a special device had been installed on the vehicle, allowing the state registration plate to be hidden. Using this mechanism, the driver concealed the license plate to avoid detection by surveillance cameras and being held liable.
Police placed the vehicle in a specialized impound lot, and measures were taken against the driver in accordance with the law.

Police reminded drivers that the use of any devices that conceal a license plate or obstruct its identification is a violation of the law. Work to identify such offenses and ensure road safety is continuing on an ongoing basis.
