Hail and fog in Astana, thunderstorms in Almaty: weekend weather forecast

According to the forecast, changeable weather is expected in both Astana and Almaty in the coming days. The capital may see fog, rain, thunderstorms, hail and squalls, while Almaty is expected to experience rain and thunderstorms.

August 21 — partly cloudy, with no precipitation. Fog is expected at night and in the morning. Northwesterly winds will reach 3–8 metres per second. Temperatures will range from +7°C to +9°C at night and from +21°C to +23°C during the day.

August 22 — no precipitation is expected. Southwesterly winds will reach 7–12 metres per second. Temperatures will range from +10°C to +12°C at night and from +25°C to +27°C during the day.

August 23 — the weather will change sharply. Rain, thunderstorms, hail and squalls are expected in the morning and during the day. Southerly winds will reach 7–12 metres per second, with daytime gusts of up to 15 metres per second. Temperatures will range from +13°C to +15°C at night and from +20°C to +22°C during the day.

August 22 — brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in the evening. Northwesterly winds will reach 3–8 metres per second, with daytime gusts of up to 13 metres per second. Temperatures will range from +17°C to +19°C at night and from +28°C to +30°C during the day.
