NSC conducts operation across 12 regions

Tengrinews.kz — The National Security Committee, together with police, carried out operational-search measures to curb the illegal circulation of weapons in 12 regions of Kazakhstan.

According to the NSC, the operations were conducted in August under the coordination of prosecutors.

As a result, 56 weapons were seized, including:

four assault rifles;34 shotguns;18 pistols;13 grenades;314 rounds of ammunition.

Pre-trial investigations are underway into the identified cases.
The NSC noted that other information is not subject to disclosure under Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
