Tokayev sends telegram to Putin

Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on the successful holding of elections to the State Duma of the ninth convocation, citing Akorda.
The Head of State noted that the vote was an important event in Russia’s socio-political life, and that its results clearly demonstrate broad support for Vladimir Putin’s strategic course aimed at protecting the long-term interests of the Russian state.

“There is no doubt that the elected deputies of the State Duma will take effective measures and decisions aimed at improving the well-being of citizens and strengthening Russia’s potential as a global power,” the congratulatory telegram said.

Special attention in the telegram was paid to interparliamentary cooperation as an important component of Kazakh-Russian allied relations.
The President of Kazakhstan expressed confidence that deputies of the Kurultai and Russian parliamentarians will continue active joint work to further develop multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished Vladimir Putin further success in his state activities for the prosperity of the Russian Federation.
As a reminder, three-day voting in Russia’s State Duma and regional elections ended earlier. According to exit polls, United Russia is receiving about 50 percent of the vote, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation between 14 and 15 percent, and the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia around 10 percent. The New People and A Just Russia parties are also entering the State Duma.
According to the Central Election Commission, as of 9:00 p.m. Moscow time, voter turnout in the State Duma elections stood at 56.6 percent. This is higher than the figures recorded in 1993, 2016 and 2021.
