President of Kazakhstan expressed condolences to the family of Dubai sheikhs

Tengrinews.kz — Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a telegram of condolence to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, following the death of his brother, Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The Head of State highlighted Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum's significant contributions to the development of the UAE, the strengthening of national security, and the advancement of economic growth.

"Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed sincere words of support to the Al Maktoum family during this hour of grief," the Kazakh President's press service noted.

On Monday, September 21, the Ruler of Dubai's office announced the passing of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and declared a 10-day period of official mourning in the emirate. Throughout the mourning period, national flags in Dubai will be flown at half-mast.

Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum passed away at the age of 76. He served as Deputy Chairman of Dubai Police and Public Security. Additionally, he headed the investment group ARM Holding and founded the Dubai Real Estate Centre in 1991.
The royal family member dedicated much of his life to sports. He presided over the Al Wasl football club, was involved in the creation of the Dubai International Marine Club, and supported the development of powerboat racing. In the early 1990s, Ahmed bin Rashid founded the Jebel Ali Racecourse and participated in the launch of the Dubai Racing Club. These projects helped solidify the UAE's position in international equestrian sports.
