Fog, frost and fire risk: storm warnings issued in 16 regions

Tengrinews.kz — On November 2, high fire risk remains in the center and south of Kazakhstan, while fog, frost and strong winds are expected in other parts of the country, according to Kazhydromet.

Shymkent — high fire risk remains in effect.

Ulytau Region — extreme fire risk remains in the west and center of the region. Zhezkazgan also remains under extreme fire risk.

Karaganda Region — high fire risk is expected in the west of the region.

Pavlodar Region — fog is expected at night and in the morning in the north and east. Northwesterly winds will bring daytime gusts of 15–18 meters per second in the north and east.

Atyrau Region — extreme fire risk remains in effect. Atyrau also remains under extreme fire risk.

Zhetysu Region — fog is expected at night and in the morning in the east and mountainous areas. Southwesterly winds will bring daytime gusts of 15–20 meters per second near the Alakol Lakes. Overnight frost of -3°C to -8°C is expected across the region. Extreme fire risk remains in the east, while high fire risk is in effect in the south, west and center. In Taldykorgan, overnight frost of -6°C to -8°C is expected. High fire risk remains in effect.

East Kazakhstan Region — rain and snow with icy conditions are expected during the day in the north, east and mountainous areas. Fog is expected at night and in the morning in the west, north and east.

Abai Region — fog is expected at night and in the morning in the south and east.

Akmola Region — fog is expected at night and in the morning in the north, east and south.

West Kazakhstan Region — fog is expected at night and in the morning in the north and east. High fire risk remains in the northwest, west, south and east. In Uralsk, fog is expected at night and in the morning.

Kostanay Region — fog is expected at night and in the morning in the west and north. High fire risk remains in the south.

Kyzylorda Region — overnight frost of -1°C to -6°C is expected. Extreme fire risk remains across the region, with high fire risk in the north. In Kyzylorda, overnight frost of -1°C to -3°C is expected. Extreme fire risk remains in effect.

Zhambyl Region — fog is expected in mountainous areas. Southeasterly winds will reach 15–20 meters per second in the mountains. High fire risk remains in the north, south and east and is expected in the west. In Taraz, high fire risk is expected.

Mangystau Region — high fire risk remains in effect, with extreme fire risk in the center. Aktau remains under high fire risk.

Turkestan Region — fog is expected at night and in the morning in mountainous areas. High fire risk remains in the north, west, center and foothill areas. Turkestan remains under high fire risk.

North Kazakhstan Region — rain and snow with icy conditions are expected at night in the north and east. Fog is expected at night and in the morning in the west and north. Northwesterly winds will bring daytime gusts of 15–20 meters per second in the east and south. In Petropavlovsk, rain and snow with icy conditions are expected at night, along with fog at night and in the morning.

Almaty Region — overnight frost of -1°C to -6°C is expected. High fire risk remains in the west, south, east and center. Almaty and Konaev also remain under high fire risk.
