The Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), which led the development of the country’s agriculture and fisheries through improved extension services, launched two important documents that are crucial to the development of the country’s agricultural and fishery extension (AFE). Part of the ATI’s 29th anniversary celebration, the agency launched the National Extension Agenda and Programs (NEAP) and the Philippine Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Strategic Plan for 2017-2022. “As it reaches another milestone, ATI aspires to leave a legacy to future generations of farmers, fishers, agricultural extension workers and other stakeholders,” the agency said in a statement.
