“He must be crazy.” Presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte said this as he blamed Liberal Party (LP) rival former Secretary Mar Roxas’ inaction and indecisiveness as the reason the country’s drug abuse problem worsened five-fold during the latter’s watch as head of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). Duterte did not mince words in blasting Roxas for telling media that it is easy to procure illegal drugs in Davao City, an apparent dig at the city executive who had been boasting that his turf is drug free.
