Ex-Italian skipper Marco Bortolami retires
Former Italy skipper Marco Bortolami on Saturday announced his retirement from rugby after a career which brought him 112 caps.
The 36-year-old veteran forward played his last match -- a 47-22 win over Newport Gwent Dragons on the final day of the Celtic League season.
Bortolami captained Italy 39 times and played in three World Cups in 2003, 2007 and 2011.
He also featured in 11 Six Nations tournaments from 2003-2015 and played club rugby for his hometown club Padua, Aironi Rugby and Zebre in Italy as well as Gloucester in England and Narbonne in France.
