Dalai Lama to visit France in September
The Dalai Lama will visit France from September 12-18 for his first stay in the country in five years, organisers said Tuesday.
The exiled Tibetan spiritual leader -- who turns 81 on Wednesday -- will visit Paris and Strasbourg for talks on interfaith dialogue, environmental issues and Tibetan culture, they said.
His current schedule does not include any meetings with French leaders, they said.
China has vocally protested against several western nations that have formally hosted the Dalai Lama in recent years.
