Obama says justice has been served in Manning case
President Barack Obama Wednesday defended his decision to commute the sentence of WikiLeaks source Chelsea Manning, who is now set for release in May.
"Let's be clear, Chelsea Manning has served a tough prison sentence," Obama said, calling the 35-year jail sentence received by the transgender soldier was "disproportionate relative to what other leakers had received."
"I feel very comfortable that justice has been served," he told his final news conference as US president.
