Armenian parliament vice speaker starts working trip to St Petersburg
Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov has traveled to St Petersburg, Russia to take part in events dedicated to the 130th birth anniversary of Hovsep Orbeli, a world-famous Orientalist and the founding president of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.
The celebrations have been arranged upon the Armenian parliament official’s initiative, reports the National Assembly’s press service.
As part of his working visit, Sharmazanov will have meetings with Alexey Sergeev, Secretary General of the CIS Inter-parliamentary Assembly Council, and Pyotr Ryabukhin, Secretary-in-Charge of the Collective Security Treaty Organization’s Parliamentary Assembly.
