Fog and ice: storm warning issued in 11 regions

Tengrinews.kz – Forecasters have warned Kazakhstanis about dense fog and icy conditions in a number of regions, and blizzards with snowfall in the north, Kazhydromet reports.

Almaty Region – Southeasterly wind shifting to southwesterly, during the day in the east of the region gusts of 15–20 meters per second.

Mangystau Region – At night in the west and central parts of the region, ice is expected. Fog is expected in the west, north and center of the region. In Aktau, ice and fog are expected at night.

Atyrau Region – At night in the west and north of the region, ice is expected. Fog is expected in the west, north and south of the region. In Atyrau, fog is expected at times.

Zhambyl Region – In the west, south and mountainous areas of the region, precipitation (rain, snow), ground blizzard and ice are expected. Fog at times. Southeasterly wind, in the southwest and mountainous areas of the region 15–20 meters per second. In Taraz, fog is expected at times.

Ulytau Region – In the north, south and central parts of the region, fog and ice are expected. In Zhezkazgan, fog and ice are expected.

Karaganda Region – In the west, north and east of the region, fog and ice are expected. In Karaganda, fog and ice are expected.

Akmola Region – In the south and east of the region, snow and ground blizzard are expected. Fog is expected in the west and north of the region.

Turkestan Region – At night in the mountainous areas, heavy precipitation (rain, snow) and ice are expected. Fog in the west, north, south and mountainous areas of the region. Southeasterly wind, in the north and mountainous areas 15–20 meters per second.

Kostanay Region – Fog is expected in the north, east and south of the region. In Kostanay, fog is expected.

Aktobe Region – Fog is expected in the north and east of the region.

West Kazakhstan Region – In the west, north and south of the region, ice is expected. Fog is expected in the west, north and east. In Uralsk, ice and fog are expected.

Pavlodar Region – In the west and south of the region, snow and blizzard are expected. Fog is expected in the north and east. Northeasterly wind, with gusts of 15–20 meters per second in the west and south of the region.
