“We strongly recommend meeting this deadline” - UAPF addressed future retirees
Tengrinews.kz — The Unified Accumulative Pension Fund (UAPF) reminds citizens of the importance of timely pension applications. Documents and applications can be submitted 10 days before reaching retirement age, citing the fund's press service.
Kazakhstanis who have pension savings in the UAPF formed through mandatory pension contributions and/or mandatory professional pension contributions and have reached the standard retirement age, as well as individuals with permanent group I or II disabilities, are eligible for scheduled pension payments from the UAPF.
The fund noted that old-age pensions are available to those who have reached the standard retirement age: 63 years for men, and 61 years for women as of 2026.
Pension payments from the UAPF continue until the pension savings are exhausted.
"To receive pension benefits upon reaching retirement age, recipients must apply to a Public Service Center (PSC) at their place of residence in a timely manner. Documents and applications can be submitted to the PSC 10 days before the recipient reaches retirement age. We strongly recommend meeting this deadline, as it is particularly important for the state pension, which requires a verification of service history based on the documents provided," the fund advised future retirees.
As a reminder, amendments to the Social Code came into effect on September 7, expanding contributors' options for managing their pension savings. Kazakhstanis can now transfer up to 100 percent of their pension savings—including mandatory, mandatory professional, and voluntary contributions—to private management.
